I know I go (read: whip my hair) back and forth a lot, and it’s definitely been a struggle the past few years, but I love ultimate. I love watching it and I love playing, period. Especially because I’m such a competitive person, I lose sight of how much I just love playing sometimes. Win or lose, it’s just fun (of course it’s funner when you win…). Gonna use this off-season to remind myself of what the game means to me. As they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder…
(Speaking of things I miss, that sweatband I’m wearing in the following picture is missing. I lost it in China. *le sigh* Still sad ’bout it.)
goodbye and i choke, try to walk away and i stumble…
Before you haters try to come at me, it’s really not my fault and it cannot be helped that Macy Gray sort of hits the nail right on the head on this one. Also of note, I definitely put this song on a mix CD I made for my then-boyfriend. Looking back on it now, I might have been sending him the wrong message. I mean, we were only like twelve years old when the song came out (well, he was thirteen on the precipice of fourteen, so uhhhhhhhhh), so I’m gonna venture to say that shit really wasn’t serious enough to call for a Macy Gray ballad on a mix CD. I’m gonna guess that some sort of Midtown or Millencolin song would have sufficed. Welp.
