Washington ladies of the disc met this Thursday night to celebrate the start of the season using a method unique to weather of this midwestern city…..sledding on Art Hill!
Rounding up more warm pieces of clothing then any one person should wear, the ladies ran a 6-7 lady relay where everyone ran 4 sets of a 100meter downhill sled down/sprint up. I did the sled-sprint once after it was over and I’ll say…it was tough! It was a fun, brief but not so easy way to kick-start our Spring season. The girls stayed warm, cheered each other on and impressed me with their unique tactics and drive to bail the sled and then turn hard to start the sprint up.
I had fun and hopefully they all did too….now back to the gym workouts! See all of you Sunday!
