Things are insane right now. I am spending 18+ hours / day doing ultimate-related things, and will probably be doing this for the next three months. I am LOVING it, but man, it is a lot. As I get ready to launch the new website, I’ve been soliciting testimonials from friends and collaborators and doing a lot of back and forth with people to get the content ready. I’ve been so blessed and humbled by these interactions.
I want to create opportunities for players and teams- for competitive play and skills building, most definitely. But more than that, I want people to experience our sport in a life-changing way and to carry those relationships and life lessons into everything they do. That may sound ridiculous (and maybe it is), but I’d like to think I’m spending my life doing more than teaching people how to chase a piece of plastic…
I used one of Phoenix’s core values in the cover letter for my job application, “7. We believe that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” Thanks Lindsey.
