History

Without Limits was founded by Sara Jacobi (Brute Squad) and Michelle Ng (Showdown) in Summer 2010.  We were jointly planning a tournament together (Philly Fusion) and realized that the ideas we had and our desire to build the women’s ultimate community were much bigger than the one event we were working on.  We wanted to find a way to get more players and teams invested in building women’s ultimate… and Without Limits was born.

Since then, Sara has gotten a new job and while she will still be a consultant on some projects, her role in Without Limits will be much more limited.  Michelle started a new job in December, but is spearheading the partnerships with six college teams in the spring outside of her regular day job.  Our goal is to equip these college teams to run outstanding events by helping them attract top competition as well as incorporate skills clinics and other team and community building pieces into their tournaments.  We want to train these leaders to grow their tournaments, as well as take a lead role in the development of women’s ultimate.  We also hope to encourage collaboration between these players and teams, and anticipate that these relationships will continue to be the backbone of the college women’s division.

This was our very first Without Limits event back in 2010, the Philly Fusion Trade Show and Skills Clinic:

Since then, we have run over 10 skills clinics and 15 tournaments around the country. Head over to the Projects page to see what we’re up to right now!
