What are you doing to ensure participant health and safety?
As of June 21, 2021, players should be prepared to report proof of completed vaccination or negative COVID-19 PCR test during the USA Ultimate event registration process. Players who do not meet this criteria may participate provided they wear a mask when at the event. These safety regulations are subject to change at any time, with or without notice, as the landscape of the pandemic, including the health and safety guidelines issued by various levels of federal, state and local government, continues to shift.

🇺🇸 USA Ultimate
Do I need a USA Ultimate membership to participate?
Yes, all participants are required to be USA Ultimate members.
What about new players?
New players are also required to be USA Ultimate members. New players can take advantage of the College Intro Membership ($32), available mid-August. All players can purchase the Fall + Next Year Too Membership ($79), available mid-September. There may also other membership options available. Please check the USA Ultimate website for more information. Note that some memberships (e.g. Affiliate Recreational Player) do not allow for participation in USA Ultimate series events. If you have any questions about membership types, contact USA Ultimate.
Players who plan to participate at Fusion only in the fall may use a Recreational Membership ($17). Please read the limitations thoroughly – this membership does not allow for participation in the USA Ultimate Fall Series (i.e. Conferences, Regionals, and Nationals) and is not the best deal for players who plan to participate in more than one USA Ultimate sanctioned event in the fall.
How do I add my team and event roster on USA Ultimate?
Please follow the step-by-step instructions here. After you select “Register for Events,” filter events for “Virginia” and search for “Fusion 2021.”
Is this the same roster that I need to verify with my registrar?
No, your registrar-verified roster is not required for Fusion. That roster is only required for the USA Ultimate Fall College Series.

How do I confirm my spot at Fusion? How do I send my bid payment?
To confirm your spot at Fusion, you must:
- Submit a bid here.
- Send payment immediately using these instructions.
My school will not be able to process payment immediately. Is that ok?
Yes! In the meantime, please send an electronic placeholder payment of $500 using PayPal or Venmo to confirm your spot. In the “Note” section, please enter your team name and “placeholder.” We will refund your electronic placeholder as soon as we receive payment from your school. If you have additional questions, we will be able to answer them after September 6.
My school needs an invoice and/or W-9 for payment.
Please indicate that you need an invoice and/or W-9 on the bid form or by emailing withoutlimitsultimate@gmail.com. We will send you the requested documents after September 6. In the meantime, please send an electronic placeholder payment of $500 using PayPal or Venmo to confirm your spot. Do you accept checks?

Is there a Captains’ Packet?
The Captains’ Packet will be posted to the event website in early September.
Is there a tournament schedule?
The tournament schedule will be posted to the event website in early September.
Can we switch our schedule?
If you have a scheduling conflict, it is imperative to let us know well in advance — months even. We are able to take some conflicts into account when creating the schedule but we cannot accommodate all requests and your team should be prepared to play early Saturday morning until late Sunday afternoon.
Can a player who is under 18 participate?
Yes! But they will need a designated chaperone that meets USAU requirements. Please read more here and here.

Will there be a Skills Clinic at Fusion this year?
In order to focus on a safe return to play and to minimize contact between players and teams where possible, we will be pausing the Skills Clinic for this year. Thank you for your understanding.
Will there be food provided?
We will be providing a limited amount of pre-packaged food. This is intended to be a supplement to your own team and individual food. There will not be self-serve food like bagels and peanut butter like in years past. Please plan accordingly.

Yes, there will be a virtual merchandise store from our friends at VC Ultimate. Stay tuned for the link!
HELP! When are you coming back?
If the trail spits us out alive, we anticipate being back on the grid on September 6. However, we’re embarking on a 240 mile hike so we may be delayed a day or two!
