We are very proud to announce Queen City Tune-Up Open 2013! Two years ago, under the direction of UNC-Chapel Hill captain Lindsay Lang, we helped to get the QCTU Qualifier off the ground. Last year, it became apparent that teams attending the Qualifier were mostly interested in a quality local playing opportunity, not necessarily in qualifying to play at QCTU. This year, we have revamped the tournament a bit (it is no longer a qualifier) and are hoping to continue to build this event for teams in this part of the country. As in years past, we will be offering a FREE skills clinic led by local club players.
This tournament is special as it is our only “home” tournament of the season, that is, a tournament hosted in the city we live in. Hosting a tournament at home brings with it special opportunities and responsibilities, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with some of our Phoenix and Ember teammates to take this event to the next level!
Please note that this will be a USA Ultimate sanctioned event. All participants will be required to be USA Ultimate members.
